PSRS 2014

The first Postgraduate Summer Research Showcase held in 2014 was an unprecedented success with 174 posters from across the University. It was the first event of this kind that brought together researchers from all four faculties, and helped people from across the University build connections across disciplines.

Postgraduate researchers from across the University were asked to provide a poster to display their research and talk through their research in more detail. These posters were judged by both an academic close to the subject, and by someone less familiar with the research area. Prizes were given to the best poster in each Faculty. The winners were:

  • Miriam Wilson, School of Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences
  • David Bayliss, School of Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities
  • Salman Hoswai, Faculty of Life Sciences
  • Rosie Griffiths, Faculty of Life Sciences
  • Hamish Hunter, Institute of Inflammation and Repair, Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences
